A “Happy Harvest” 2015 at Domaine Lebrun …
The 2015 harvest started at Domaine Lebrun on the 18th of September – the 2nd earliest start after 2003 – thanks to the sunny and mostly dry summer. But, unlike in 2003, we had a mild end of August and September, with some cool nights, and the result is beautifull and healthy fruit with plenty of aromas, richness, and surprisingly balanced (acidity/pH is good). Especially on the clay soils of Saint Andelain who didn’t suffer from the earlier dry conditions. We started the “debourbages” today and I am really looking forward seeing how these aromas will develop with fermentations… Laurent Lebrun
